314 - OXY-ACETYLENE WELDING
This course is designed for the beginning welder and/or persons who wish to improve their welding skills-especially valuable to maintenance persons. Classroom instruction covers welding equipment, accessories, joint preparation and understanding/using welding symbols. Shop work will cover various weld joints in the flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions on steel up to 1/8". Students must furnish welding goggles, cap, protective clothing, safety glasses, gloves, striker, wire brush and pliers in addition to the fee (will be needed at first class session)
Tuesday evening for 11 weeks 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.

315 - GAS TUNGSTEN ARC WELDING (TIG)
This course is designed for persons with previous welding experience. Previous training in Oxy-Acetylene welding is recommended. Instruction will cover the theory of TIG welding and exercises in cold roll, stainless and aluminum metal. Students must furnish gloves, cap, protective clothing, helmet, pliers, safety glasses and wire brush in addition to class fee (will be needed at first class session).

316 - GAS METAL ARC WELDING (MIG)
This course is designed for persons who have previous training or experience in arc welding. Instruction will cover how to weld various joints on a variety of metal thickness on steel only (no aluminum) as well as machine setting and maintenance. Students must furnish gloves, cap, protective clothing, helmet, pliers, safety glasses and wire brush in addition to class fee (will be needed at first class session).

330 - SHIELDED METAL ARC WELDING (STICK ELECTRODE)
This course is designed for the beginning welder and/or persons who wish to improve their welding skills. A beginner should plan on completing a minimum of 180-200 hours before expecting to achieve enough skill for initial employment. Classroom instruction covers process, machine settings, electrode classification, welding symbols, joints and control of distortion. Shop work will provide the opportunity to weld commonly used joints in various metal thicknesses. Students must furnish gloves, cap, protective clothing, helmet, pliers, safety glasses and wire brush in addition to class fee (will be needed at first class session).
